Art Walk Poem

Time Capsule

Harsh broken records
Shattered in shame
Drift back to a time
They had the pleasure to play
Rainbow of colors
Soft music galore
Peace signs and aphros
A time of much more
Rooms full of smoke
Lines on the table
poison filled cups
like tales from a fable

Urban Silence Poem

http://www.bayview-house.com/images/site/gallery/sun_porches_and_decks/white_fence.jpg

Lonely day
Yapping of the family dog
Sounding on the block
As slowly I begin again,
Begin again to walk

Past the giggling children
Playing in the park
Towards the picket fences
White enough to see in dark

Past the welcome signs
Hanging on the doors
And scattered dandelions
Hoping for rain to pour

The silence now begins again
As the rain spatters down
Still walking down the quiet street
The noise begins to sound

Low and dull at first
The melody seems to beckon
As if to say, it were calling me
Calling me to reckon

Drawn to the harmony
I float toward the source
To the suburban home
The rain lingering, of course

The song begins to gesture
At it's depressing soul
Stuck in isolation
Longing for control

Sympathizing with the desires
I loiter in its presence
Now knowing I am not alone
It sooths my very essence

Imagery/Hometown Poem

Valley of the Lung

The cold, dark mountain
Seeps into the town
Upon the dreary memories
That seem to hold a frown

The eerie feel of eyes
Watching from the hill
Hang just like a shadow
Sickening the ill

The pain of betrayal
Haunts them from within
As each breath untaken
Leaves them without kin

The sickness started spreadin’
When they opened up the hill
The darkened cloud of dust
Was lookin’ to kill

They’ve buried twice as many
As there would’ve been before
Yes, they’ve buried twice as many
But the mine still calls for more.

Everyday Photo Poem

Chapped Leather

The warmth of the sun
Crawls up his skin
As the sweet smell of coffee
Starts to drift in

Hes ready to go now
As he picks up his keys
And head to ol' rusty
His trusty machine

As he revs up the diesel
He glances around
At his "new" leather gloves
Now exhaustively worn down

Shouting to his dog
He mounds up the hay
And embarks toward the field
For another lingering day

The values he knows
Have been taught by the land
And always shine through
The work done
By a ranch hand

Hardworking and honest
He strives for the best
But hardships and trials
Await the next test

Favorite Poem

Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening

Whose woods these are i think i know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But i have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

- Robert Frost(1874-1963)

Twinkle Rewrite

Sparkle, Sparkle distant shine,
I contemplate this mind of mine,
drifting in the lighted sky,
pearl of an eternal lullaby,
Sparkle, Sparkle distant shine,
I contemplate this mind of mine.

Favorite Holiday

The everlasting wait,
emmersed with childlike hoots and hollers,
the loud honks of excitement wander through the atmosphere,
controlling a thick excitement,
release on hold,
until the last remaining second,
when the second chance is delivered.

Riddle Poem

I am a rainbow of heat,
the towering trees stare down on me,
as i devour with my chaotic power,
my self-willed drive pushes me forward,
like an uncontrolled emptiness,
i crackle with the craving to fill the depletion,
screaming forward, inhaling the flavor,
leaving behind a dreary cloud of soot.

Found Poem

The grass is always greener,
your lucky this is buggzo!
original beauty,
hi profile,
classic elegance,
not what she seemed,
poisoning heaven,
handcrafted by people,
so real its unreal,
face off,
lover's treasure,
morons among us,
less is more,
new ultimate peace of mind,
if you want sugar coating, please dont come.

Two Tone Poem

Somedays I am an explosive red,
nothing can contain me,
my energy scatters in every direction,
with bouncy, twisty, turny loops,
I am ready to face any challenge,

But hidden away during my Red days,
is the pale bluish grey,
meek, invisible, calm and collected,
like the batteries need to be recharged,

Although the difference is overwhelming,
they are the colors that harmonize through me.
